Sydney trio Glades are something special. The unveiling of their latest single 'Drive' offers a cinematic palette of expression that dazzles in vivid spectrum, with sonic surges and the intricately carved production of fizzy synths. There is huge vitality in the sound here as vocalist Karina Wykes vows 'I'll take you for a drive', promising to capture a universe of euphoria. This singer's voice is beautifully pure and organic-sounding, and on first listen reminds us fondly of BROODS Georgia Nott. “Her (Loving You)” was released back in October, and with 'Drive' in tow we're convinced that Glades know just how to create a precious and sought-after escapism for their listeners. -LB
